The value of a piece of paper

My mother made this comment today:

Obviously you don’t place much value on your degree because you can’t even find it.

Yeah – I somehow lost that. I know it *has* to be in the house, because it’s still in that tube when they handed it to you at the ceremony. Plus, my family (myself included) are a bunch of hoarders and we never throw anything out!

So where is it? And is she right in her comment? I would like to think that after the long years of ‘formal’ education, I was so sick of it at the end that I just wanted to put everything (study notes, textbooks etc etc) in a corner and not look at them anymore. But being a hoarder, they’re not in the (recycle) bin because I *might* need sometime, eventually.

After reading some information on getting a replacement, I’m off to look for it. And will promise to frame it (even though I’ve got nowhere to hang it!) when it surfaces!
