The Nanking Massacre, commonly known as the Rape of Nanking, was an infamous genocidal war crime committed by the Japanese military in Nanjing, then capital of the Republic of China, after it fell to the Imperial Japanese Army on December 13, 1937. The duration of the massacre is not clearly defined, although the violence lasted well into the next six weeks, until early February 1938. (Source)

When I was in high school my favourite subject was Modern History. We spent quite a lot of time on World War II but very little was mentioned about the Sino-Japanese war. It’s a shame really, because the Western World mainly focus on the atrocities committed by Nazi Germany. So I’m using my little space here, to post some things (which in my view) every Chinese person should know.

Some news about the anniversary

If reading pages & pages of information doesn’t interest you, this is what you definitely need to read:

Doctors of Depravity
The Asian Auschwitz of Unit 731

A word of warning – don’t read it while you’re eating. It scares me that human beings are capable of committing such acts.

It does make me sick that human beings can do such things towards others…
