The Defenders 01×08: another enjoyable episode
Not much takes place in the courtroom for this episode, but it was still very enjoyable. We got to see Nick’s “fatherly” side while Pete takes on a case about black hat hackers. Even Zoey the receptionist plays an important part.
Pete: Let me see that Nick power. Grrr. There you go, c’mon, hit that unspecified gym equipment. Yeah, make it sorry it ever came off of the factory line!
[Pete's phone rings]
Nick: Hey! What’re you doing?
Pete: Phone..
Nick: What? You bring your cellphone when I’m working out?
Pete: You’re working out, I’m working!
Pete: Not sure if that’s the most lawyer-y of images, but all right.
Zoey: It’s gonna bring in clients.
Nick: You’re gonna bring in the hounds!
Pete: Don’t be afraid of the modern world Nicky…
Nick: I’m not afraid, I just don’t like it! I mean we’ve had a 10 minute conversation and you
haven’t even looked at me once!
