I don’t religiously follow football (soccer) these days, but I do watch EPL (now that I have cable!) on the weekends. 
The main reason why I started watching sports, was simple – I can be superficial lol. Currently, Cesc Fabregas has to be a bit of a favourite. The hair…..the accent….and he has a daggy/geeky side lol, oh did I mention he’s actually a good footballer?
I hope this is just a rumour. Please stay at Arsenal Cesc! Otherwise I won’t get to watch you on TV anymore!
Not entirely random, since the Socceroos are in Brisbane for their qualifying match against Qatar on Wednesday…..
And I do have a “talent” for spotting sportspeople in a crowd – that seems to be the essence of my tennis blog. (Or my eyes just follow tall people 
)
Anyway, I saw Lucas Neill today! Where…? In the casino of course loool. (at the blackjack table @ $1000+ a pop!) But then he does earn (allegedly, per Wikipedia) $60,000 POUNDS A WEEK. Not uncommon for footballers!
I don’t think he has changed much since the last time I saw him, scruffy hair = love. 
Bummer I missed their public appearance at the mall last Friday! (Not that I could go, working hours aren’t so flexible these days!)
It’s almost midnight now and I did have intentions of watching the Spain v Russia match (Euro 2008 football/soccer that is) which is starting at around 2am? Got to love the time difference! But at the same time, I’m a bit annoyed at the Spanish coach’s decision to drop the more experienced players (RAUL!) in favour of the less expected choices. [oh let's be fangirl right here and throw a hissy fit about it!!!] Rationally, just looking at the stats alone, I’m sorry Sergio Garcia – how could they pick you (1 previous cap, no goals) rather than Raul (102 caps, 44 goals). 
Makes no sense to me!
In other news, I have decided not to fork out any more cash for the Twilight series books and will just get them from the library instead. Unfortunately, I also forgot the password so I can’t logon and reserve it. Of course all the copies are out – gah!
