As a prisoner at the Jixi labour camp, Liu Dali would slog through
tough days breaking rocks and digging trenches in the open cast
coalmines of north-east China. By night, he would slay demons, battle
goblins and cast spells.
Liu says he was one of scores of prisoners forced to play online
games to build up credits that prison guards would then trade for real
money.
“Prison bosses made more money forcing inmates to play
games than they do forcing people to do manual labour,” Liu told the
Guardian. “There were 300 prisoners forced to play games. We worked
12-hour shifts in the camp. I heard them say they could earn
5,000-6,000rmb [£470-570] a day. We didn’t see any of the money. The
computers were never turned off.”
Random internet surfing brought me to this WTF moment:

(The article basically talks about Christian Bale’s alleged assault. It also talked about “The Dark Knight”, Heath Ledger and how the Brisbane International Film Festival is going to give Heath an award…..)
The award ceremony will be held on the 7th August at the CBD’s Regent Theatre (?), Heath’s family may attend to accept the award. And prior to Heath, actors Geoffrey Rush, Bryan Brown, George Miller and Jack Thompson had also received this honour after their death.
HUH? I thought all of those actors are actually still here.
you remember a trend the first time around.
I was reading this magazine which said that tie-dyed clothing is “back”? WTF? I remember it back in the 90s… I think. (Well, you also know you’re old when you don’t remember anything.) But anyway, at the time I wasn’t at the age where I cared a lot about what I wear, but still, it feels weird.
However, now this is completely weird – a few days ago I was buying some instant scratchies (don’t ask, I was bored!) and the girl at the newsagency asked me for ID. HUH? Do I still not look like I’m 18?!?! That is scary. Or is it because I was having skin breakouts?
